Real Cnut Recs launch 27th March 2026
Released in 2004 on Streetwise Recordings, “Emit / Collect” by Zero became a true underground cult classic. The track spread the way legendary records often do — through DJs, dancefloors and word of mouth among those living the acid house lifestyle.
Supported in sets by artists including Fatboy Slim, Plump DJs, DJ Icey, Orbital, The Freestylers, right through to Tiësto, Paul Oakenfold and Judge Jules, the record built a reputation as a DJ weapon.
For those in the know, “Emit / Collect” remains one of those timeless underground records — a track that captures the raw spirit of Acid House culture, breakbeat attitude, and the dancefloor energy that keeps it alive.
The legendary Agatha Stomp mix from Rennie Pilgrem has been remastered for 2026, bringing renewed clarity and punch to one of the early-2000s’ most distinctive electro-breaks cuts.
The release also features brand new remixes from a lineup of respected producers: VaZ (Vigi & Zero – Streetwise / TCR) drop the tempo to 125 to deliver a modern, club-focused reinterpretation, that keeps the original spirit; Tom Beaufoy — better known as one half of Evil Nine, famed for the album You Can Be Special Too — contributes his signature gritty tech breaks energy as Evil Tom, with a beautiful journey that builds towards a sonic surprise ; and Robin Thurston rounds out the release with a driving progressive remix, following hard on the heels of his release on The Soundgarden label, curated by Nick Warren.
These remixes have been road tested at clubs and festivals and have raised the roof.
With this package, “Emit / Collect” is revitalised for modern dancefloors while honouring its underground legacy, making it a must-have for fans of tech, electro, breaks, and the true spirit of early-2000s club culture.
Available on Bandcamp and Beatport 27th March 2026.
